Java developer

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

- XML, Swing, Hibernate and/or Spring technologies

- Design, develop and implement programs across one or more platforms (AS/400 and Client/Server)

- Create and interpret complex design documents and explain to inexperienced team members as necessary

- Design and develop unit and system test plans to thoroughly test changes and enhancements

- Lead code and design walk through

- Review and critique unit test output for other team members

- Provide status reports on assigned projects

- Assist in developing business requirements

- Familiarity with inter-application communication via DDE and OLE

- Proficient in database normalization to fourth normal form

- Knowledge of SourceSafe or other source control software

- Familiarity with API calls

- Understanding of System Analysis, Design, and System Integration

- Knowledge of at least one the following: Access, Structured Query Language (SQL), DB/2, and DB/2 400

- J2EE Technologies (ranging from EJB to JSP), HTML, CSS and XML

- Spring Framework and Visual Basic experience preferred

- Knowledge of General AS/400 Midrange

- Relational DB design and work experience (Oracle 9 or higher)
