Proposal Writer

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of business opportunity life cycle management
• Knowledge of applicable technologies for technical approach development
• Proven ability to successfully communicate company proposal objectives and key characteristics to management, both written and oral
• Knowledge of Web and MS Office products
• Knowledge of contractual and legal nuance involved in subcontracting within the DoD and civilian agency marketplace
• Skill in preparing outlines, schedules, and templates for responding to government and commercial Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Proven ability to manage activities of several ongoing proposals.
• Excellent writing skills
• Reviews, edits and writes portions of the proposal. Coordinates, assembles, checks and/or schedules administrative functions in support of the production of assigned proposals
• Strong interpersonal relationship with the ability to work effectively and efficiently as a team member
• Strong telephone and email communication skills to clarify capabilities and performance of the company, partner companies, and personnel
  

REQUIREMENTS :

• Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of proposal development/writing experiencewithin the Federal Government IT Service Industry.
• 5-8 years of IT experience in responding to IT service Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quotations (RFP/RFQ).
• A self-starter that is able to work under minimal supervision.
• Candidates must be detail oriented and able to adhere to strict deadlines as well as, possess an understanding for project management processes and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Bachelors degree minimum
