The primary function of this position is to develop and complete accounting reconciliations for specialty accounts to ensure balances are accurately reflected in the financial statements. This includes re-engineering of existing products such as Shipping and Gift Card and development of new product reconciliations. Reconciliation methods include using our Fiserv Recon 2.0 system, researching and timely clearance of exception items, creating journal entries and related support as needed for various other departments within PayPal.

10. Ability to work flexible hours.  RequirementsJOB QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Masters or dual degree (Business Field/IT) a plus.

B. Experience
1. 6-8+ years relevant work experience in accounting operations required, including experience in complex general ledger reconciliations.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel (advanced level of expertise working with Excel macros, pivot tables, v-lookup and filters strongly desired)
3. Knowledge of top tier ERP systems preferred. Experience with other external systems and software a plus (reconciliations, data warehouse, etc.)
4. Experience with Financial institution or high volume payments industry.
5. FX reconciliation and related Foreign Exchange experience a plus.
6. Previous SAP and/or FiServ experience a plus

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. This position requires travel to San Jose approximately 15% of the time.
