Business Analyst-Programmer / Bloomberg Administrator

JOB PURPOSE:
To be the primary administrator Bloomberg Transaction Terminal (BTM) of the Bloomberg Asset and Investment Management (AIM) trading systems and its modules and additionally to monitor the STP process and aid front, middle and back office of our investment management teams. This will require interaction with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to determine their needs and communicate and resolve any issues and new development with Bloomberg. Additionally, demonstrate and train PM?s and back office on new features being implemented and act as primary help desk for all Bloomberg related efforts.
Also, as a Business Analyst, the position is responsible for understanding current and future technical and business processes. This understanding will be a key to providing analysis and descriptions of functional and technical requirements as a facilitator between the business members and development teams.

Essential Functions:
To elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops,surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
To collect, analyze, understand and transmit the business needs into detailed business requirements, test plans and business processes.
To understand and document workflows and results of analysis and obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
To provide the link between the customer, development team and testing team, throughout the development lifecycle.
To design and execute test scenarios and test scripts.
To successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
To work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.
To collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
To support an enterprise with diverse technical and business environment.

Working Conditions:
Office Environment  RequirementsRequired Knowledge and Skills:
Education and experience ?
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, CS, Physics, Finance, or Engineering) required.
Master?s Degree, preferred.
Prior experience working with the BTM and AIM is required.
Knowledge of US Securities Industry along with experience working with OMGEO products, ALERT and OASYS is required. Prior Programming knowledge in .NET, Java, C, C++ or C# along with knowledge of SQL Server and XML is preferred.
Additionally, knowledge of Bloomberg?s Trade Gateway (Gateway3 or Gateway .NET) will be a plus.
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into business, application, and operational requirements.
Results oriented with excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Team skills include brainstorming, listening, asking clarifying questions, seeking consensus.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and strong analytic and problem solving abilities and strong organizational skills.
Must effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in a professional and tactful manner.
Facilitation, conflict resolution and teamwork skills are essential.
