Director of Speech

Responsible for provision of communication disorders services to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital inpatient and outpatient programs and Nebraska Heart Hospital. Through a collaborative process with inpatient and outpatient clinical supervisors, oversees the management of communication disorders personnel, including scheduling, recruitment, selection, evaluation, retention, advancement and termination of personnel in order to meet individual patient and program needs. Works closely with the Vice President of Rehabilitation, Director Outpatient Therapy, clinical supervisors, and program managers to determine optimum staff levels and service delivery design. Responsible for budgeting and financial monitoring of inpatient and outpatient Communication Disorders departments. Develops productivity standards in accordance with facility goals and industry standards. Ensures productivity standards for individual clinicians are met. Oversees the strategic development and advancement of clinical education programs for departmental staff and affiliated students.Clinical degree and current licensure required. Masters degree in clinical specialty required, doctorate/Ph.D. preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience required, of which one year must be in a supervisory or management capacity. Proven leadership and communication skills. Experience in rehabilitation setting required. Will be able to perform the job functions of speech/language pathology.
