Job Description
West is now hiring a Data Center Supervisor!In this role you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of assigned staff in providing quality systems and operational support at assigned Data Center; perform routine monitoring of components of the datacenter to maintain an efficient computer operations environment; monitor the status and cycle process of Data Center systems and server; ensure all daily functions are completed accurately and efficiently according to established procedures and schedules; coordinate and ensure consistency of Data Center operations throughout all shifts; ensure staff is trained and familiarized with Data Center operations and are able to deal with client concerns after regular business hours and issues concerning Data Center output.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation
* Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, electrical or electronic engineering or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience
* Minimum three years Data Center computer operations experience required
* Minimum of one year lead or supervisory experience preferred
Technical
* Minimum three years experience supporting and troubleshooting hardware required with a strong hardware engineering background preferred
* Minimum one year Data Center/Site Planning preferred
* Minimum one year UNIX environment experience preferred
Other
* Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook required
* Intermediate knowledge of Visio preferred
