VACANCY: Financial Accountant

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

LOCATION: Lincoln, Nebraska - Cabela’s CLUB Visa

 

DESCRIPTION: Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Prepares workpapers in conjunction with the month-end close process. Performs audits/reconciliations of complex balance sheet accounts. Provides variance explanations of key accounts to management. Complete accounting analysis. Assists in the research of accounting pronouncements and regulatory rulings and internal control (SOX/FDICIA) documentation and compliance. 

 

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent. One to two years public accounting experience or two to four years of related experience in accounting. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office applications experience (especially Excel, Access). Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated and proactive. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Ability to perform in fast paced, high-energy environment. Capable of working both independently and in a team-oriented environment. Ability to consistently exceed customer expectations and show commitment to Cabela’s Core Values.
