Maintenance Associate at York

Job Description

Ply Gem Siding Group, a member of the Ply Gem family, is currently searching for a Maintenance Associate to be responsible of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical/electronic equipment. This position will be located at our plant in York, NE.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Diagnose and correct electrical/electronic failures
• Troubleshoot and repair A.C. and D.C. drives and PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controls)
• Install new wiring and maintain existing wiring
• Maintain and repair all extruder and downstream drive equipment
• Maintain work logs, including logs of repairs and alterations to schematics
• Complete daily forklift safety/damage inspection checks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills and education required:

• Technical school degree or associates degree in electrical/electronics theory and application or equivalent combination of education and experience
• State license or certificated preferred
• At least 2 years experience in electrical and electronics maintenance
• Prior experience with PLC’s is a must
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required
• Above average verbal and written skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds (max) without assistance
• Able to handle multiple demands
