Foundry Supervisor at Hastings

Job Description

* Insure the safety and welfare of all location associates by ensuring development of programs and policies consistent with Federal, State and local laws governing the operation of heavy manufacturing and foundry operations.
* Focusing of the Foundry teams to manufacture a quality product on time at a competitive cost as well as to continually upgrade the organization to better serve our customers.
* Plan, supervise and monitor the activities of the foundry in conjunction with key manufacturing strategies to assure the BUs short term and long term production goals are maintained.
* Initiate cross training and initial training programs that encompass all aspects of the manufacturing functions to expand and improve coverage and personnel qualifications
* Improve process control in the foundry operation as measured by the first pass yield of non-stock jobs.
* Assist in the development and implementation of projects to improve the speed at which order flow through the operation.

Job Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
* 7 - 10 years experience in Foundry Operations required.
* Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of complex shop instructions required.
* Ability to creatively solve a wide variety of complex problems through to resolution.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* 5 years experience in production planning preferred.
