Job Description
SUMMARY:
Performs maintenance and repairs on machines in a production setting. Sets up and maintains production machinery. Makes repairs and improvements on facility. Follows through on preventive maintenance as directed by supervisors. Fabricates new equipment as needed.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
• Installs and sets up equipment or machines. Verifies all items on hand needed for set up.
• Instructs machine operators on how to use machines and maintain the tolerances.
• Adjusts production machines and related equipment, according to maintenance schedule, manufacturer’s service manuals and production tolerances.
• Repairs production machines and related equipment when needed according to maintenance schedule and manufacturer’s service manuals or on diagnosis of machine malfunctioning.
• Communicates with operators of faulty machines to determine nature of malfunction and dismantles suspected components.
• Replaces repaired parts or installs new parts to restore machine to operating condition.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Performs miscellaneous plumbing, electrical and facility upkeep as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two(2) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical (Industry, Automotive, Agriculture)
• Welding experience is preferred.
Communication Skills:
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must work well at both individual and team projects.
Other Skills:
• Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• High innovate and problem solving ability.
