Position Details
Media Sales Services Spec II
Assists assigned high revenue generating Media Consultants, Key Account Consultants or National Sales managers in developing client advertising media solutions for large or national accounts, and coordinates and troubleshoots the acquisition and fulfillment of advertising orders for those accounts.
Partners with Key Account Consultants to build upon CNA data to prepare customized client solutions.
Partners with National Sales Managers to develop a strong partnership and relationship with our national rep firm to facilitate client and fulfill client needs.
May support local origination channels
Creates quality schedule proposals that reinforce our solutions selling model.
Strategizes with Key Account Consultants and/or National Sales Managers to increase revenue generation that includes up-selling as it aligns with the client solution and other opportunities available that fit within the clients goals and objectives.
Key duties include leading the collaboration with Sales Services to develop proposal schedules and customized solution presentation, partnering with SSCs for order entry and revision instructions, managing and troubleshooting ad copy, fulfilling make goods requests and managing client requests.
Takes responsibility to solve complex internal / external customer problems.
Acts as team tactical lead in markets where a sales support manager or supervisor is not present.
Requires flexibility to be involved in client activities and events (off and on-site meetings, lunches, dinner meetings, after hours events, etc.)
Typical Training / Experience - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Technical certification or Associates degree may be preferred and/or required in some areas; 5-7 years of experience in related area of responsibility
Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Senior support roles highly experienced in area of responsibility; Performs all of the standard and some specialized more complex aspects of the function; increases department or area impact
Problem Complexity - Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently; May modify processes to resolve situations
Autonomy - Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies; Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor/manager or direct customers of the process
Knowledge - Thorough knowledge of tasks and responsibilities. Effectively applies skills in accomplishing tasks
Influence/People Leadership - Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel; Contributes to employees professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority
