This position is located in the Pharmacy Service.
The Pharmacy Procurement Technician must be a PTCB certified technician who functions utilizing independent technical judgement (without the need for readily available supervison) as well as with a comprehensive and thorough working knowledge of complex procurement principles and practices.
The procurement technicians duties include (but are not limited to):
- Operational responsibility for ongoing inventories of drug products and pharmaceutical supplies and their procurement
- Holds an Ordering Official Designation letter for the prime vendor contract
- Is a pharmacy purchase card holder
- May function as a pharmacy technician in the pharmacy to meet patient care needs
Work Schedule: M - F 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; rotation and weekends

- U.S. citizenship
- A high school diploma or equivalent; or at least 3 months experience
- Certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Experience. One year experience at the next lower level and must fully meet the KSAs at the next lower level. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the following technical KSAs and the potential to acquire the assignment specific KSAs designated by an asterick(*):
