Job Description:The general function of this Lead Mold Tech Position is to provide training and molding process expertise support to the molding department and technicians.Essential Functions:

• Provide technical expertise and problem solving assistance to department.
• Performs validations, EWOs and process changes
• Train mold techs to department policies and procedures
• Coordinate CI projects within department to improve process quality, machine reliability and productivity
• Assist coordinator in providing daily guidance regarding departmental priorities to ensure department performance
• Production scheduling and PM planning
• Maintain department compliance for safety, housekeeping and quality audits
• May perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education / Experience / Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:

• Education/Degree - Min High School Diploma/GED; Two Year Technical Degree Preferred.
• Experience - 3-5 years of injection molding experience.
• Knowledge - Must have leadership ability. Must be able to maintain records and generate reports as required. Must have good communication skills. Previous molding experience required. Strong ability to develop others.
• Skills - Mechanically inclined, ablility to undertand, install and operate molding peripheral automation equipment, understand part and equipment drawings. Possesses and applies the fundamental principles of scientific molding, mold design and operation and tooling. Able to lead and interact constructively with teams in project planning and implementation. In-depth understanding of molding press operation and mechanics.
• Licenses/Certificates: Master Molder 1 preferred.
• Other Abilities: Regular, punctual attendance; willing to work overtime and be on call; ability to cross-train in a variety of departmental functions.
