Retail Systems Analyst at Omaha

Job Description

Analyst for the IT Retail Systems group. Associate will participate in or lead development, rollout, and support of Retail Systems projects involving stores, and support of corporate systems which use or generate store related data. Associate will share rotating week long on call, as well as support as needed.1. Participate or lead in analysis, development, rollout and support of store related Retail Systems projects, within the established Gordmans framework. 2. Troubleshoot problems with software and hardware systems at stores.3. Provide regular on call support for the Retail Systems team, including off hours support.4. Communicate extensively with IT associates, as well as store and corporate users, about issues relating to Retail Systems.5. Gain understanding and apply detailed knowledge of Gordmans business model, processes, and procedures. 6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.7. Must be at work on a regular and predictable basis or as scheduled.

Job Requirements

1. Associate will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing with users. 2. Knowledge of retail hardware registers, pin pads, barcode scanners, printers.3. Knowledge of retail software systems credit authorization, retrieval of sales data from stores, sales processing, PCI and SOX requirements, retail database systems.4. Programming experience in object oriented languages such as C# .NET, Java, C++, and in scripting languages such as VBS.5. Significant experience with Microsoft and Oracle database systems.6. Associates Degree preferred.7. 3-5 years experience in a retail environment. 8. Previous store systems experience desired. 9. Desired programming skills in object oriented languages such as .NET and Java
