About AGP Trucking Accountant Accountant:

Ag Processing Inc (AGP), the worlds largest soybean processing cooperative, based in Omaha, NE, has an opening in our corporate Accounting department. AGP serves its 175 member cooperatives, primarily in the western Corn Belt, by adding value to the raw products it processes. AGPs business platform includes crude soybean oil refining, feed manufacturing, renewable fuels production and grain merchandising.

Position Details - Trucking Accountant Accountant:

AGP is searching for a Trucking Accountant to handle responsibility for a variety of accounting tasks related to the trucking operations; including processing payroll, reconciling and balancing monthly accounts, tracking compliance with regulations, processing purchase orders and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities - Trucking Accountant Accountant:

• Performing financial analysis
• Assisting in developing accounting systems and controls.
• The Trucking Accountant will maintain the daily functions of the department while working closely with the Controller.
• Further duties will involve maintaining financial records for the trucking operation by entering data, preparing journal entries, reconciling various general ledger accounts and assisting in the budget process.
• Projects will include preparing financial and operating reports for each period as well as compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare and distribute reports to management, external agencies and organizations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications - Trucking Accountant Accountant:

• The ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree in Accounting.
• Successful candidates will have knowledge of accounting practices, procedures, terminology and mathematical principles.
• Understanding of computer software is imperative and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle experience is a plus.
• Necessary skills include the ability to analyze and solve problems, determine errors and their solutions and pay close attention to detail.
• A team player attitude and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are imperative.
• This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple assignments.
