Job Description

Job Classification: Contract TEKsystems has partnered with a local client to provide them with a consultant for an on-going long term contract position. The client has decided to move their CMS platform to Drupal. Currently they have 12% of theyre sites in Drupal with 70% in TypeO3 and the rest in one off sites. They want to get all of these sites converted to Drupal and are in need of extra bandwidth. Requirements for this position include but are not limited to the following: Experience with Custom Views, CCK Custom Content Kit and Themes/UI/CSS.Expertise with Drupal best practices in a multi-site environment. Prior expeirence developing web services to support sharing of data across sites.Integration with social media sites.Experience with access control modules (taxonomy access, content access, and to some extent organic groups).Theming with the Omega and/or Zen theme, including how to best implement mobile.Experience building features using the features module and/or module development.Development on workflow tools such as Git (standard) and Aegir (Drupal specific)Experience with performance and scalability using Varnish, caching, load balancing.Designing web solutionsWeb development methodologies such as agile and test-driven developmentWeb CMS/frameworks such as Drupal, WordPress, Typo3, LifeRay, etc.Web development technologies such as JavaScript, JQuery Libraries, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Java, etc.Web performance tuningLAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), with expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, .NET, etc. considered a plus.Database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.Expertise with software configuration management tools, defining controlled workflows and use of standard code repositories such as GIT, SVN, CVSExpertise in programming of web based apps, web content management systems, and interactive graphic design for the webExpertise at performing work that is technically oriented, working on various platforms, including Microsoft and Apple Expertise in to recognizing and setting trends in Web development Demonstrated customer service skills, a strong work ethic, is a team player that can mentor and coach, and have the ability to work well independently. Must possess above average organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate independent problem solving skills. Experience in mobile application development is a plus.
