Software Engineer - Kenexa at Lincoln

We are looking for a Software Engineer for our newly closed Kenexa acquisition. IBM-Kenexa is a leading end-to-end provider of software, proprietary content, services and process outsourcing that enable organizations to more effectively recruit and retain employees. Our talent acquisition and employee performance management solutions leverage 20 years of experience helping clients maximize the performance of the organization. Our solutions enable clients to improve the effectiveness of talent acquisition programs, increase employee productivity and retention, decrease costs and improve management decision-making based on analyzing and summarizing key HR metrics associated with employee performance. We develop and host SaaS Web solutions comprised of a scalable multi-tier enterprise architecture using cutting edge technologies.

The Software Engineer will configure and customize client solutions to meet the specifications outlined by internal team members and client feedback.

Primary responsibilities include:

Engineering solutions working in an SQL Server and Microsoft Access environment including importing and exporting data, data manipulation, writing stored procedures and designing reports
Assisting in the development of new tools to enhance the software offering
Working in a global project team environment with team members located around the world
Responding to inquiries from the project team and technical support regarding functions and operations of client projects
Contributing to the establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing
Recommending program improvements or revisions
Reviewing and contributing to software program documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and run several different projects at the same time

Required

• At least 1 year experience in SQL Server 2005, Microsoft Access 2003, HTML, Microsoft VB or VB.NET, Microsoft Excel
• At least 1 year experience in working in an SQL Server and Microsoft Access environment including importing and exporting data, data manipulation, writing stored procedures and designing reports
• English: Fluent

Preferred

• Bachelors Degree
• At least 3 years experience in SQL Server 2005, Microsoft Access 2003, HTML, Microsoft VB or VB.NET, Microsoft Excel
• At least 3 years experience in working in an SQL Server and Microsoft Access environment including importing and exporting data, data manipulation, writing stored procedures and designing reports
