About Us

 Lifestyle Publications was founded in 2009. Our corporate office is in Kansas City and we have Publishers/Sales Director’s from the east coast to the west coast.  Lifestyle Publications produces monthly magazines created exclusively for and about the residents of various communities. Each publication is direct mailed to its community and is paid for by advertising. 

 

Lifestyle Publications is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded person who is looking for a lucrative opportunity. If a business opportunity like this interests you, consider becoming the Publisher/Sales Director for your own Lifestyle Publications magazine.


As a Publisher/Sales Director for your own Lifestyle Publications magazine, you will help to create a magazine that reflects the needs and interests of your community. Our corporate office will handle layout and ad creation, printing and mailing, website presence, customized automated accounting and Customer Relationship Management (CRM ) systems as well as weekly conference calls that cover training and support of you and your team.

Job Responsibilities

As a Publisher,  your specific duties will include:

  • Identifying viable areas in which to produce a magazine
  • Working with your local editor to develop local and community based magazine content
  • Cold Calling and selling advertising to local businesses
  • Building a sales team for your territory
  • Meeting with businesses to sell advertising in the magazine (80% or your time)
  • Entering orders into the system and managing clients using the CRM system
  • Conducting networking events or similar events to help build rapport with clients and community residents

Job Requirements

As a Publisher, you must be self-motivated, driven and committed to developing new business opportunities for your magazine.


Specific requirements for Publisher include:

  • Solid organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A competitive drive

 

If you don’t have previous sales experience Lifestyle Publication has a team of very seasoned people that will help train you and give you the support needed to launch your publication.  You must have the ability to go a couple months with out an income as you build your own publication.
